Sturgis!

This is truly an event where the reputation far exceeds reality. We had heard for years how wild the Sturgis biker rally was. To be fair we did very much enjoy riding though the Black Hills. We stayed at the Legendary Buffalo Chip campground which we understood was clothing optional and they had big name bands for entertainment. There was one unofficial wet T-shirt contest in the campground that was fun, and a few girls flashed like Vicki did occasionally but it didn't happen all that often. However, the biggest problem with Sturgis is the traffic. Sturgis is only 6,000 people. When a half million bikers come for a week the traffic is nasty! It took us as long as two hours to get through Sturgis to our campground. We are glad that we made the trip to Sturgis for the rally but I doubt that we'll do it again.
